Please look at the bottom of this page (under Support Policy Summary) for our support policy summary, containing important information regarding our working hours and our support policy. Thank you!

Hi, I did a really dumb thing and removed the website I had been building off my development site and to its new site. Now I want to restore the last backup on my development site because there is still heaps of work to do on it and I can't get it back on.

First time I tried, I got a message that the database was wrong. I tried to correct that without success. Do you use the same database that the original had, because that is what I tired.
I deleted all the extracted files and relaoded the back up and kickstart and tried again. I got the 404 not found .

I have gone through lots of videos and support tickets and can't find anything that explains what to do next.
Love to know how to progress.

Thanks very much.

You need to delete the .htaccess file in your public_html file.

All files whose name starts with a dot are hidden by default. You will need to check the box in the cPanel file manager to show hidden files to see this file and be able to delete it.
