the problem I am experiencing is restoration using kickstart both  the client hosting service and on mine. We both use WHC.ca ep is on a different server than mine. both are cloud based service.

during the extraction process the extraction fails but it fail on different files on both servers. sometime it will fail on the same file but that rare.

Since you no longer support extract wizard how am I going to retrieve these file from the JPA for in order to manually restore the site?

The client restore site is epj4.playgrpoiundadvisory.com

Restore to my hosting: epj4.2bpdesign.com

What am I doing wrong an dhow to correct this problem

I am attempting restoration on client hosting with older version of kickstart

Failed with kickstart 7.1.2 againon a different file. see screengrab

I was able to recover the files and folder from the hosting services (JetBackup5) server. However that does not resolve the issue with random kickstart file errors upon extraction phase.

I will attempt a new installation form a akeeba backup from the beta site on my client server to my hosting service to see if I still have the same problem. I wil keep you posted.

Hello,

when this happens, you should enable the debug mode in Kicstart. Please open the Kickstart.php file and search for the string KS_DEBUG in the first few lines. Remove the two slashes in front of it. The extraction will fail again, but a new debug.txt file will be created. Please zip it and attach it here.

It will give us more info about why it's failing; usually this happens because some file changed in size during the backup.
