If you are right about the size of the archive you can change the min and max execution time settings before clicking the Start button. See https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/akeeba-kickstart-documentation/the-setup-page.html for the documentation on these options.
You can set the Minimum execution time to 7 seconds and the Maximum execution time to 2 seconds (NOT a typo!) to create a 30% duty cycle. This will make the extraction longer but also it means fewer requests per minute which is what might be killing your restoration. (Yes, I am aware that the Apache module which is used to kill requests coming at a certain cadence has been end of life since 2017, but I have seen hosts still use it as recently as September 2022).
Also make sure that your Internet connection is stable and that your machine does not go on sleep mode. If you are using a Chromium-based or Firefox-based browser please remember that background tabs go to sleep (as implemented first in Edge) which BREAKS taking and extracting backups. You need to have the tab in the foreground and move the mouse every so often — yeah, I know, I am annoyed too.
If that did not help I would need to know exactly what the error message reads. A screenshot would help.
