I can connect to the database ID119832_tst with phpMyAdmin on the same SQLserver with the same user and password but Kickstart cannot login on that server with that user and password:

Attached file is a view from phpMyAdmin.

Any idea  ?

The error code 1045 is coming from your MySQL server (please note that SQL Server refers to a completely different database technology; don't refer to one as the other, it makes it harder for people to understand what you mean). MySQL error 1045 means that the MySQL server rejected the username and password for connecting to the server.

Also note that MySQL usernames and passwords can be locked to specific IP addresses or hosts. That is to say, a username and password which works when connecting from the same server may not work when connecting from another server.

Please ask your host about this issue. Since the error message is coming from the MySQL server there's nothing we can do about it.

I just noticed something in your ticket title. The message reads Access denied for user ' ID119832_tst'. Do you see the space before the single quote and the username (ID119832_tst)? We didn't put it there. This is the message that comes from MySQL. It probably means that you mistyped your username, putting a space in front of it, possibly because you copied it from somewhere and accidentally included the space before the username.

You are absolutely right Νικόλαος , a space in front of the username was the culprit.

Thanks for your valuable input and sorry for the needless alarm.

Best regards,

Johan.
