Hi

I moved my blog from a subdomain to a completely new domain, using Akeeba Backup and Kickstart to restore it. The opening on the new location, it automatically redirects to the old location. I thought it was due to a redirect in the cPanel or in the .htaccess file, so I renamed the .htaccess file and found nothing in the cPanel.

What am I missing here?

Regards,

Francois

Hi

Removing all browsing data eventually sorted it out.

Remember that browsers cache redirections until they are restarted. If a .htaccess, plugin etc causes a redirection to occur then even after you remove that .htaccess, plugin etc you will be getting that redirection until you completely quit and restart your browser.
