Hello

I am trying to restore a website to a local MAMP environment. I have done this many times in the past without problems. For the first time, Akeeba created 3 files, 2 of them with ~2 GB and the third with ~0.9 GB.

The restore starts but seems to stuck after the extraction of the *.jpa file and does not continue with *.J01 and *.J02. No error message. It looks to me as if the extraction of the following files does not start at all.

Did I miss something? How can I make sure that everything is being extracted?

Best regards

Rolf Winter

Hello,

I'd suggest to turn on Kickstart debug mode. Open kickstart.php file and locate the line with the word KSDEBUG at the top. Remove the two leading slashes and then start the extraction again.

A debug file will be produced, once the extraction halts, please zip it and attach it here, let's see what's happening.

Ciao Davide

here is the error log file. Strang and maybe interesting: I found that I could get the site restored as usual despite the fact that unzipping stopped. When checking the folder I noticed that it was quite full with all the usual Joomla stuff and looked complete to me (I had done dozens of similar transfers in the past, whenever I develop something), hence I was just calling the restoration script and it worked like a charm. As far as I have seen at a first glance, nothing is missing. The unzipping seemed to have finished and the restoration complete. But maybe something is still missing which I just have not yet discovered. In any case, I have, of course, a bad feeling.

Maybe it is a piece of information for you that it stopped with this file (stars stands for the name of the site. I also changed this in the file):

C:/MAMP/************/components/com_menus/models/forms/filter_items.xml

Curioso. . .

Looking at the log file, it seems that your PHP environment lacks of the FTP extension, so a fatal error is thrown.

You can either enable such module, or double check you're using the Direct method and not the Hybrid one to write files to disk.

That was it. I did not activate an FTP server at all, because its a local installation.

Thank you for your support. You can close the ticket.
