Received the following error while running installation.  No error log entries.

Hello,

thank you very much for the report. PHP Handler feature has few bugs in it, we're currently working on it.

If you ignore the warning and complete the restore, does it work correctly? Such feature will simply edit AddHandler directives inside the .htaccess file, so you should be able to complete the restoration. Worst case scenario you have to update your .htaccess file, but that's pretty easy to do.

The restore does seem to work, I was having a different problem at the same time, but that is now fixed.
