Hi, we are trying in a new server to restore a Joomla site and we noticed that the server is using maria DB.
Wonder whats is akeeba approach and integration on this.
Our problem is that when restoring using akeeba the dropdown to choose MySQL is empty.

Hello,

MariaDB and MySQL are completely compatible (unless you are using some vendor specific SQL commands).
Can you please attach a screenshot of the driver list?

If you can't see anything, it means that the PHP version you are currently using doesn't have any MySQL driver installed, you should contact your host and report the problem, since we (you and I) can't do anything to fix this issue.
