I desperately need to restore from one of several backups that are marked as obsolete. I have a severe problem that I can only recover by going back in time and the couple of backups that are not marked as obsolete also have the problem. How do I get around this problem? Thanks - Mike

The "obsolete" tag means that the actual backup archive is no longer where Akeeba Backup thinks it should be. The most likely explanation is that the backup has been deleted by the quota management function.

Did you move the backup to another location manually?

Is the backup being moved to cloud storage? If so, your security settings may prevent Akeeba Backup from being able to find the backup archive.

It may be possible that your host can retrieve the backup archive from their backups. If you are using cloud storage, there is usually some limited ability to restore deleted files.
