Hi, I'm transferring my site from local server (mamp) to my live server & in the kickstart process I'm up to database restoration which leads to the error message in the screenshot.

Please advise how I should proceed.

thanks,
Marcus

Hello,

Akeeba software uses a specific table to track dependencies between our products, frameworks and libraries.
All those dependencies are stored inside the #__akeeba_common table.
Looking at the error, it seems that the length of the column is too large (192 chars). However, looking at our code, we set it everywhere to 190 chars (which is the correct length). That change happened very long time ago, when we started to support utf8mb4 collation, so that's pretty strange to have such error.
Do you remember which Akeeba software did you had installed on your site?

Anyway, that table is not vital for your site, so you can do the following: remove the check on Stop con CREATE error and perform the restoration once again. If the only error you had was able the #__akeeba_common table, you can safely ignore it. Once you completed the restoration, simply visit Akeeba Backup control panel, it will take care of creating it again.

Let me know how is that going.

Hi Davide,

I unchecked the 'stop on create error box' & proceeded. The screenshot attached showed another error.

thanks

Please uncheck the field Stop on other error, too. Since we're not creating the table, the insert will fail as well.

Hi, thanks that worked fine. What do I need to do in the akeeba control panel to ensure the table is built again?

thank you

Simply visit it.
We automatically fix and repair the database each time the control panel page is opened, without the user needs to do anything.
