I am trying to automatically overwrite my sandbox site where clients can play with my extensions using a cron restore.
However, I can't seem to get it to work flawlessly.
Do you have a step by step guide somewhere.
My searches have not found one.

Please take a look at UNiTE. It is a very powerful command line utility for doing exactly the kind of thing you want to do. It is also an advanced utility, long on power and short on user friendliness.

I'm almost sure that your AKEEBABACKUP subscription covers UNiTE, but I did see some conflicting information where it may require a DELUXE subscription. If you can download it, you're fine. I have asked Nicholas to clarify the status, but he won't be available until tomorrow morning.
