 Hello,

Following a backup / restoration of my website, I cannot find anymore the component menu when I log as administrator of the website. I can access the control panel, but the component banner at the top of the web page does not appear.
I've read somewhere on the internet that it could come from akeebackup, that would forget/break something in the database #__menu that would need an entry. Could you help me restoring the component menu in the administrator web page ?
Thank you

Olivier

Hello,

I've read somewhere on the internet that it could come from akeebackup, that would forget/break something in the database #__menu that would need an entry
This is completely wrong, since Akeeba Backup will read everything from the database and dump everything in a file. What you are reporting happens only if you are excluding specific tables (which I think you didn't).

I think the main problem is a permissions one: are you 100% sure you are an administrator?
Please take a look at the modules within the backend, administration section. Is the Admin menu module enabled?

Pro tip: you can get to the modules page by using the following direct link: index.php?option=com_modules&view=modules
