 Hello,
I have a site backup that I took from a VPS server with Godaddy and launched it locally on my Mac using MAMP. I'm now trying to upload a backup from the mamp site back to the same server in a test folder before pointing the live site to this new folder with the new site.

Each time the database restoration starts and towards the end I get the same Error #0 as some other users here have reported. Nothing in their threads has helped me to solve this yet though.

I attached a sample of the error message. I should point out, that I've tried this multiple times and I get different line number errors each time, so it's not like it always stalls at the same point.

Any ideas?

I ran the Alice Troubleshooter and kept getting this error when scanning the log files:

------ BEGIN OF ALICE RAW OUTPUT -----
Large files issues
The following files are too big and can cause backup issues:
File: <root>/4-18-16archive.zip 394.79 Mb
File: <root>/media/com_cjlib/geoip/GeoLiteCity.dat 16.83 Mb
File: <root>/media/com_cjlib/geoip/GeoLiteCity.dat.gz 10.79 Mb

------ END OF ALICE RAW OUTPUT -----

Hello Joseph,

in the Database page, please click on the Show advanced options button.
Then flag the option Force UTF-8 collation on database and try again. If still get the same error, please uncheck that option and try with Force UTF-8 collation on tables .
That should do the trick.

Thanks Davide, I had to force UTF-8 collation on tables to make it work. Thank you!
