Hello Nicholas / Akeeba,

On your Akeeba site the kickstart pro version 4.1.2 is giving a 403 access prohibited message.

Any advice appreciated to regain access

Hello Tim,

please logout and login again, Joomla (that powers our site) needs to refresh your permissions.

Hello Davide,

Thanks for that. Got it now.

As an aside, I tried to download it several hours ago and got the 403 then as well.

Thanks again.

Regards,

Tim.

You're welcome!
Your permissions are refreshed on login, so if you set your account to "Remember me", you have to manually logout and then login again, forcing the refresh.

Hello Davide / Akeeba,

Thanks for the explanation.

However, I never use the "Remember Me" function.

As a test, I just logged into your Akeeba SIte, attempted to download Kickstart Pro version 4.1.2 again and it gave another 403. Logged out and back in again, and another 403.

But I have it from my earlier login attempt so for now it is not an issue. I am perhaps just a bit curious how/why it happens.

Regards,

Tim.

well, that's pretty strange, since I can safely download it.
I'll run some checks on your account.

Hello Davide,

Just a little update here if I may ?

Some of the 403 error messages possibly appear to be generated by what I might describe as "faulty" URLs (please excuse my term "faulty" - this may not be the correct term).

On this page: https://www.akeebabackup.com/download/latest.html

Scroll down to: Akeeba Release System 3.0.1 and go to "Take me to the downloads for this version" link - clicking that link takes me to: https://www.akeebabackup.com/download/akeeba-kickstart/akeeba-kickstart-3-1-1.html which gives me a 403 error.

Similarly: Akeeba Subscriptions - "Take me to the downloads for this version" - takes me to: https://www.akeebabackup.com/download/akeeba-extract-wizard/akeeba-extract-wizard-3-0-3.html - which gives a 403 error message

And there are other "Take me to the download for this version" which do not seem to tally.

Perhaps, overall, is it possible that there are some URL errors, or am I missing the point completely, totally, and utterly ?

Regards,

Tim.

Thank for the report Tim!
Indeed, those are wrong links. I'll report them immediately.
