trebone
 made a backup before trying to upgrade Joomla from 3.4.3 to 3.4.4
and updating some extensions; after these updates got white screen at /administrator/index.php (file exists)
so copied the .jpa archive to /public_html where I had uploaded new kickstart 4.1.1 Pro

Ran the extract, started Angie restore; there is a warning message ie
IMPORTANT! You are restoring to a different site
We have detected that you are restoring to a different site than the one you backed up from. Some of your extensions, such as Admin Tools, may require to be reconfigured if they are using absolute paths or URLs. For more information please consult our Troubleshooter documentation.
- this is surely the same site because at same /public_html?

I was trying to get in the update to J 3.4.5 security release shortly before going travelling, can you re-assure me please?

Hello Trevor,

that's just a warning, so users will remember to double check their extensions when they mode from a domain to another one.
We save the host while backing up and then double check if the current one is the same of the saved one. Due to technical reasons detecting the host is not 100% accurate, so if you are truly restoring on the same site you can ignore that warning.

OK that all looks OK now, frontend and backend working, and security update J3.4.5 now installed. I will be very careful about the other component updates, with another Akeeba backup first!
