 Hello,

I've backed up http://neyt.org successfully and downloaded the backup via ftp client. The backup site is Joomla 2.5.19 with the most current version of Akeeba Backup professional installed. I upload it to http://neyt.myartisanweb.com/ and run kickstart only to get these errors:

Warning: include_once(/home/neytorg/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/version.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/neytorg/public_html/plugins/system/backuponupdate/backuponupdate.php on line 69

Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/neytorg/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/version.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/neytorg/public_html/plugins/system/backuponupdate/backuponupdate.php on line 69

Warning: include_once(/home/neytorg/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/version.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/neytorg/public_html/plugins/system/srp/srp.php on line 55

Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/neytorg/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/version.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/neytorg/public_html/plugins/system/srp/srp.php on line 55

I use kickstart about a dozen times a week and I've never seen this before. I tried the analyzer and made changes to the execution times as suggested only to get the same error.

Do you have any ideas what is going on? From the backend, I see the same errors at the top. All aspects of the admin panel work with the exception of Extensions>Manage and Components>Akeeba Backup.

Thanks for you assistance.

It seems that some files were not copied when you updated Akeeba Backup. Please download Akeeba Backup Professional 3.10.2 from our site and install it on your site twice in a row, without uninstalling your existing copy of Akeeba Backup. This will convince Joomla! to copy all necessary files, or throw an error message if it can't (e.g. due to file/folder permissions).

Hello,

I downloaded akeeba backup 3.10.2 from your site and installed it twice at http://neyt.org. I created a backup, then downloaded it via dreamweaver. I then uploaded it via dreamweaver to the new server http://neyt.myartisanweb.com and restored the site with Akeeba Backup. I still have error messages and cannot access the extension manager:

Warning: include_once(/home/neytorg/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/version.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/neytorg/public_html/plugins/system/backuponupdate/backuponupdate.php on line 69

Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/neytorg/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/version.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/neytorg/public_html/plugins/system/backuponupdate/backuponupdate.php on line 69

Warning: include_once(/home/neytorg/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/version.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/neytorg/public_html/plugins/system/srp/srp.php on line 55

Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/neytorg/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/version.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/neytorg/public_html/plugins/system/srp/srp.php on line 55

Thank you for your assistance.

There is most definitely a problem with your process. The version.php file is included in our installation packages and it's supposed to be one of the first files to be installed by Joomla! when you install or update our components.

At this point I would suggest going to the affected site's Extensions, Manage Plug-ins and disabling the "System - System Restore Points" plug-in. You can then access the extensions manager. If you can't, you have a problem unrelated to our software. If you can access the extensions manager you should try installing the latest version of Akeeba Backup on your site. Please note down any errors you might be getting in the process.

Excellent suggestion Nicholas! It worked. Thank you very much.

Also, while I have you reading, do you happen to know who wrote the two "two factor authentication" plugins that released recently for Joomla? I'm doing a presentation on security at Joomla! Day Boston this weekend and wanted to credit the author in my demonstrations.

Warm Regards,

Dawn

Yes, as a matter of fact I know who wrote the two factor authentication plugins for Joomla! 3.2. That would be yours truly :) I basically donated the work I had done in Admin Tools and my YubiKey Authentication Plugins back to Joomla!.
