Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: 2.5.7
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: Rackspace
Akeeba Backup version which took the backup: (unknown)
Kickstart version used to extract the backup: 3.6.0

Description of my issue:
I have uploaded the files, and ran kickstarter. It can't find the restoration file. It is definitely in teh same directory.
I read the docs, and set all of the permissions to 755, for the directory and the files. It still can't find the file.

There are 688 JP files. Could it be there is a file missing?

Hi kducey,
I think you have a multi-part archive, right?
I know this could sound silly, but did you upload every file?
The first one is the one that ends with .jpa , can you confirm me that's here?

no, I did not think it created one. The backup did not finish correctly - I am having an issue uploading it to amazon - it must have uploaded only that file to amazon. I will check.

Thanks, I found that file, and it started working, but then ran into this error:

Could not open /mnt/stor08-wc1-ord1/733613/www.hamlethub.net/web/content/json2.min.js for writing.

I am with Rackspace.

It will not let me edit the permissions for json2.min.js, or kickstart.php. It is currently set for 644.

Would it be better if I deleted json2.min.js?

Thanks

No, don't delete it since it's required.
You're having some permission problems on your server.
Please follow these instructions reported on the docs, so you can restore your site.

The folks at Rackspace helped.

I have two FTP Accounts set up. I did not realize that if I ftp the files with one account, that account "owns" the files.

He set the owner of the files to the primary ftp account, and the restore is currently working.

Thank you very much for your help.
