Can you please try the latest dev release? It seems to not be suffering by this issue anymore.

Everything work fine with this release. Thanks

Just one other thing: during the restore, anybody can interact on my website. Is it possible to stop or shutdown the site during the process of the restore?

Awesome! Thank you for the feedback.

Regarding your question, look further down the Kickstart page. See the "Stealth" options? It's exactly what you need! In fact, I implemented this feature because I needed it for this site, when restoring backups or when transferring an updated version from my test server to the live server (using Akeeba Backup and Kickstart, of course!). Just read Kickstart's documentation about how to use it. It's not hard, really. Just create an HTML file, put it in the same directory as Kickstart, tell Kickstart its name and... ta-da! Success :)
