Joomla! version: 2.5.6
PHP version: 5.3.10
MySQL version: 5.0.95-community
Host: localhost
Akeeba Backup version which took the backup: Akeeba Backup Professional 3.5.2 (2012-06-18)
Kickstart version used to extract the backup: 3.5.2

Description of my issue:

I migrated a site from Joomla 1.5.26 to Joomla 2.5.6 and used akeebabackup and as normal it worked a dream. However, it came up with this message "Your server has Suhosin loaded. Please follow this tutorial." Is it simply a case of adding the line to the php.ini file ? Why does this appear?

This happens because you have a Nooku-based extension. If you want my opinion on Nooku, I've shared it with the world since last year.

Nicholas, I have uninstalled the "offending" component and all is well. Sorry to have troubled you. Is it best to leave the database as mysql rather than mysqli ?

You should use mysqli when possible. The old mysql (without i) driver will go away at some point.
