Please don't run your sentences together; use punctuation where appropriate. I have trouble understanding the problem. I suppose you want to transfer your site from server A to server B, you haven't tried it so far and just want to make sure that you won't run into any nasty surprises. OK. The process is as simple as it can possibly be: backup your site on Server A, upload the backup and kickstart.php to Server B, run Kickstart.
Akeeba Backup was primarily designed to transfer sites between hosts. In fact, its very first version (called JoomlaPack 1.0 beta) was created out of the site transfer scripts I had created and had been using for two years. Using the component to take backups was a side-effect. Albeit, it was such a popular side effect that I had to market the component as a backup component. But the fact stil remains that its primary feature is being able to transfer sites between hosts.
You may run into some trouble, unrelated to Akeeba Backup, when moving your site around hosts. It usually has to do with incompatible directives in the .htaccess file, URL/path changes and PHP version differences. However we have
already documented the most common issues and their solutions. I believe that page is very comprehensive; it's 5 years of experience in doing support, distilled in a single page.
