Joomla! version: 2.5.4
PHP version: 5.3.6
MySQL version: 5.0.15
Host: Blaanye.dk
Akeeba Backup version which took the backup: (unknown)
Kickstart version used to extract the backup: 3.5.0

Description of my issue:
When I try to restore the database, after kickstart has uncompressed it all, I get this message:
No database definitions were found or no database was selected.
I've tried switching between mysql and mysqli, I've tried creating a new database.
I've tried changing the password so it doesn't contain odd characters.
If I restore to a different location (on the same server), I get a warning that this is a different location, and the restore of the DB completes without issues.

I tried with IE, instead of FF12, and then it worked without issues, very strange. I don't have any addons except firebug and firesizer on the FF...

Best regards Kenneth

Firefox is well known for deteriorating over time. The only Firefox release I have tested and found working is FF10. The next releases (11, 12) are actually unstable. I would recommend not using Firefox. I never thought I'd say that in this lifetime but, yes, Internet Explorer 9 is actually better then Firefox right now. Chrome and Safari are also great, tested nd supported.
