Hi there,

So far I have received from you all the instructions to start translating the Akeeba Engage texts from EN to IT.

I thought it was the smartest thing to do, to start translating or customizing only these first sentences which are the ones that are mostly published now on my web pages:

- Awesome Stories
- one comment on
- 1 min read

- one comment
- replay
- Leave your comment
- Name
- Email address
- words
- save

I started searching in every ini file "Awesome Stories" but I didn't find any matches! Maybe I searched badly!

Would you be so kind as to tell me in which files I can find these titles so I can translate or customize them and replace the files?

Also, when I add a new language in the relative folder all the files must be present anyway! Right?

Thanks for your precious collaboration.

There is no such translation string as "Awesome Stories" in Engage. I don't know what you're talking about.

The way to translate Engage is to copy the English language files into the respective Italian folders. At a minimum, these two:

  • language/en-GB/com_engage.ini --> language/it-IT/com_engage.ini
  • administrator/language/en-GB/plg_content_engage.ini --> administrator/language/it-IT/plg_content_engage.ini

You can translate all or some of the strings. If any strings are not present at all in your translation, Joomla falls back to the default language (en-GB).

Hi Nicholas,

you are right! "Awesome Stories" is not generated by Akeeba Engage.
Sorry it was my mistake.
Thanks for the other clarifications
