The backup software did not work on my server it crashed my website. My hosting company are not prepared to see what has caused it & have advised me to remove both the pro version I paid for and the free version.

I have replied to your other ticket where I offered to help you. I am closing this ticket in favour of that other private ticket where I've asked you for further information I need to help you.

Since this is a public ticket, let's name names. SiteGround should be ashamed for the unprofessional behaviour. They (should) know your issue unrelated to our software. After all, they were providing us with free hosting for our site for around 5 years, on the basis that we would recommend their service to our clients. They had even invited me to their HQ in Sofia, Bulgaria to talk to their support team about Akeeba Backup.

We would like to think that their blaming Akeeba Backup for what is a hosting environment issue is the result of an inadequately trained help desk agent. I'll just leave it at that.

Support Information

Working hours: We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm Cyprus timezone (EET / EEST). Support is provided by the same developers writing the software, all of which live in Europe. You can still file tickets outside of our working hours, but we cannot respond to them until we're back at the office.
