 After updating Akeeba Backup, I can no longer schedule backups. Did something change? Thanks

As far as I can see you do not have an active subscription which means that you are using Akeeba Backup Core, the free of charge version.

Backup automation (scheduled backups) is only available in the Professional version since Akeeba Backup for Joomla version 7, released in early 2020. Relevant announcement: https://www.akeeba.com/news/1726-akeeba-backup-7.html
