The cookie notification is a third party extension called EU ePrivacy Directive. The layout has been heavily styled.

Please be advised that I had to downgrade it since the last version seems to not be blocking any cookies :( Moreover, it had added a list of cookies which were supposedly blocked and from which you could supposedly select which ones to allow and which ones to block. Never worked for me.

Basically, its latest published version at this time does not work for me at all so I am sticking with the last version which did.

Also be advised that even if you choose to NOT use GeoIP filtering on who to show the cookie banner it still activates a plugin to provide GeoIP features. This wouldn't be such a problem if said plugin didn't try to automatically update the GeoIP database, automatically, without asking you, without error checking, trying to include() a PHP file it downloads from an unsigned location. Even putting aside the obvious security issue of running unsigned code automatically, the complete disregard to error checking means that this bloody thing brought down my site for half an hour at half past eleven PM my time the day before I left for vacation (luckily, I noticed; I was not happy debugging it considering that I had to wake up at 5 am the next day). I would not be complaining about it had it not been an automatic update for an extension I had no use of which caused this issue.

Given all of the information I would say that this plugin is probably not worth the hassle unless you enjoy debugging crazy issues on live sites or simply have no other choice. I have full intention of forking it, at least to the subset which makes sense for my site. If you actually need fine grained control of cookies you probably have no choice but to install this or a similar extension and deal with the small and big bugs.

None that actually blocks third party cookies until you agree to allow them (which is something that will be required come 2019 or 2020) :(
