Hello David,
You can ignore the AKEEBABACKUP subscription's expiration. Let it expire. You will not lose your access to any of our software. The DELUXE subscription package gives you full access to everything.
FYI, we're using our own Akeeba Subscriptions component to handle subscriptions on our site. We've made sure that it's smart enough to avoid making mistakes like what you fear. When a subscription is activated or expires it goes through the permissions given and revoked by all active and expired subscriptions respectively. If a permission is both set up to be given by an active susbcription and revoked by an expired subscription the result is that the permission is given to the user. So, even though the expired AKEEBABACKUP subscription would say that you shouldn't have access to Akeeba Backup Professional, the active Deluxe subscription says "no, this client MUST have access" and it wins the argument. That's something most subscription components for Joomla! wouldn't do, that's why we wrote our own in the first place :)
