The 'InnoDB' feature is disabled; you need MySQL built with 'InnoDB' to have it working) ... I use appserv 2.5.9 in local host computer. As I remeber, it is all right to restore the data base when i use the version of Joomla pack 2.0, and after I use updated joomlapack 2.4, even use the Akeeba Backup 3.0.a4, it cames up the same problem as above, anybody can tell me why?

dlb
I believe it was in the 2.4 series that the "Disable foreign key checks" option was added to JoomlaPack. I don't see that option in Akeeba, but it is using a new database dump engine by default. What error are you getting during the database restore?

MySQL: MySQL query failed with error 1289 (The 'InnoDB' feature is disabled; you need MySQL built with 'InnoDB' to have it working). The query was:CREATE TABLE `jos_captcha_session` ( `id` int(10) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment, `sessionid` varchar(64) NOT NULL default '', `password` varchar(8) NOT NULL default '', `date` datetime NOT NULL default '0000-00-00 00:00:00', PRIMARY KEY (`id`) ) TYPE=InnoDB AUTO_INCREMENT=6955

please help me.

Ah! Now it makes sense. The table is tagged as an InnoDB table, but your MySQL server doesn't support InnoDB. Jooomla! itself doesn't require the InnoDB engine, some extensions do require it (CiviCRM, for example).

I think step 1 is to check with your host to see if the InnoDB engine is available. If it is not, we need to figure out if some of your extensions require the features of the InnoDB engine.
