Hi,

i have the problem, since i sercured my administrator folder with a .htaccess file i cant download the backup file.
is there a way to do the backup with the .htaccess security?
Thanks

dlb
What does the .htaccess file do to restrict your /administrator folder? Is it a password restriction, an IP restriction, etc.? Where is your Output folder, in the default location or did you move it above public_html?

The .htaccess file restrict the access to my /administrator folder. Is it a user/password restriction. My Output folder is in the default location.
should i place it above public_html? does that mean above the httpdoc folder?

I apologize for the delay, I was out of town and we had a little communications breakdown about that.

Are you downloading your file through Remote? Remote uses ftp, so it wouldn't be affected by a password file. As long as it can do the backup, it should be able to do the download. If you are downloading through the Administer Backups page, that is a different story.

This means that Remote is not able to determine the size of the backup file. This is most usually caused by the Active mode and Keep-Alive settings in JPRemote. Just double-click on your site's definition and try disabling both the Active mode and the Keep-Alive settings. If the problem persists, try the various combinations of these parameters. Please post back your results.
