using both of the above. For some reason, it seems that JoomlaPack 2.3.1beta is splitting the backup archive up into 1MB chunks instead of just 1 large file.

Then, to make matters worse, NativeTools 2009.4 only downloads the LAST archive split, and not all of them.

Any ideas?

Thanks for such awesome components!

I'm startin' not to like split archives. :( In your JoomlaPack Configuration file, on the Advanced pane, change the chunk size at the very bottom to zero. This gets set when you go into Easy Mode or when your backup fails and you accept the Balanced or Conservative settings.

JP Remote should download all of the parts of the archive, Administer Backups in the back end does not.

Thanks for the reply!

However, the split chunk size is set to 0 (I don't use the Basic mode). Jp Remote only downloads the last chunk - I can't figure out why.

Thanks for the info!

Guess the other is figuring out why remote doesn't download all chunks :)

It isn't supposed to be this hard.

Does your backup file name contain a "."? That would be actually as part of the file name, not between the file name and extension. There was a bug fixed in SVN533 for this.

Dale, This was a fresh install of the component - it had never been installed on this particular site in the past. Here's the file name string:

site-[HOST]-[DATE]-[TIME]

I don't know if it had something to do with me resetting the 0 chunk value to 0 by typing it in again and saving it or what. I haven't changed it to anything else since, so it's currently working and remote is able to download the single, complete, full backup file now.

However, if you like, I can turn chunking back on and try it again and see if it still doesn't work.

If it is working, I don't want to break it! I'll flag the thread for Nicholas to see if he needs any more testing done on it. Thank you for the offer!

Native Tools 2009.4.b1 had a bug. Right after backup only the last chunk would be downloaded. I fixed that bug yesterday in the SVN and posted the fixed version in the Bleeding Edge.

About the other bug, I can't reproduce it, unless I have previously switched to the Balanced or Conservative settings mode, in which case it's not a bug, it's a feature. Honest!
