#41270 Force Support staff to enter time each time they reply to a ticket

From what I can see, it is optional whenever a support person responds to a ticket, that they enter the time they have spent on the response. I can't see a configuration option that can  force support staff to enter the time spent, even if it was a zero time. Am i correct?

Go to the component's Options page.

Click on the Frontend tab.

Set Time spent field mandatory to Yes. Note that the inline help of this field reads:

When enabled the Time Spent field will be mandatory, meaning that support staff won't be able to submit a reply to a ticket without filling in the time spent answering the ticket. 

Click on Save & Close.

Hi, Thanks, it is working now an automatically starts the timer when I reply. 

If I hit stop on the time, I see the message about time must be between x and y (see screenshot)

I can manually override the time.

But 2 questions

Can I stop the automatic timer starting?

and

Is there a way to stop the message appearing?

When the time spent field become mandatory, the timer auto-starts.

You cannot stop the message from appearing. This will be addressed in the next version.
