I created a Menu item, Akeeba Ticket System>My Tickets>My Tickets with permissions setup to registered.

The link created is index.php?option=com_ats&view=Mies

Once logged into a user account with registered status. I go to the above link and see a dropdown with pre-sales and customer support categories (created reading the documentation for Akeeba Tickets).

On the screen I choose a category and new, it just refreshes and goes back to the same page?

I just get /pre-sales-requests/new in the address bar and I ca't submit any tickets that way? However if I create a menu NEW TICKET, this works as expected I can choose between pre-sales and customer support categories to submit to based on if I am registered (pre-sales) or customer (Customer support).

Thanks,

Leo

You need to have two menu items on your site, published in any menu (even a hidden one): one to the New Ticket page and one to list all the ticket categories. These are required for Joomla to be able to create URLs for the new ticket button and the tickets themselves.

I've created both of these and cleared the cache and same issue.

I created in main menu hidden the following.
Ticket Category (Alias: ticket-category) Hidden
Akeeba Ticket System » Categories » Categories

and
My Questions (Alias: my-questions)
– Akeeba Ticket System » My Tickets » My Tickets

But when I login as a registered user to My Tickets, I click new and nothing happens?

Considering that the New Ticket is a link, something must happen. Does the URL in the address bar change? What does it read?

I think it must of been a caching issue, as I've reset the Joomla core in the database options and now the button seems to be working as expected in my tickets section.
