Dear support,

Since one week we've switched from hosting provider and used the great Admin Backup tool to transfer our existing website.

We've followed all the guides and the site works nicely again. But at this moment it seems we can reply to a Akeeba Ticket once and then all other attempts of opening existing tickets is gone.
The browser "hangs" for a long time and then returns a 500 Interal Server Error.

We've used the htaccess maker several times and even disabled the htaccess file to see if that made any difference. But it doesn't :-( And somehow I cannot find out when this error occurs and for the last few hours I cannot access any tickets.
Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this issue?

Thank you very much and greetings,

Just switched back to PHP 7.0.21 instead of 7.1.7 (at my hosting page) and that does seem to do the trick. I can access the tickets again.

Also checked the error logs and this one turns up when the 500 error page occurs:
FastCGI: "/home/..../index.php" aborted: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server after 98 sec, referer: http://....

Searched the net and now I am not sure if the problem is a in the Akeeba Ticket System when using PHP 7.1.7 or should I contact my hosting company for some misconfigured FastCGI software on the server?

Any suggestion would be helpfull but it works for now on PHP version 7.0.21 :-)

Thanks again and greetz,

I am developing on PHP 7.0.20 and 7.1.6 (I didn't have time to compile the new versions yet) on an Ubuntu system with an Apache setup that uses FastCGI. I tried the steps outlined in your post but I had no problem. So this is not an ATS issue.

Based on the error message you dug up form the log I would think, like you, that something's up with your host's FastCGI setup. Last time I had that issue it was when I messed up the FastCGI configuration on my Windows laptop. So I guess you should ask them to take a look and tell them to test visiting multiple pages in quick succession, at least 20, to simulate the conditions under which you have that issue.
