 We have setup signatures for Users (managers) in User / Ticket System preferences.
The sig shows correctly within post to a Ticket in the front end.
The sig does not show in the email that is sent (but the body of the post by that manager does - correctly).
Is this correct?

Hello Mike,

yes, the signature is used only inside the component. It's not possible to use the signature inside the email notification.
