Hi,

Since two days we have problems from the ftp postprocessor. The normal process is made of 415 100mb parts 40Gb backup. It was running every night without problems these last month.

This morning it halts after the #39 part because of a mkdir error issued by the server. You'll find both akeeba error log and remote server log for this error.

The previous morning, it halts after the #239 part because of a connection error (I guess). You'll find the remote server log in wich you'll find the last part successfully stored (282) and then nothing more coming from the "solo" ip machine (ending with 93.70).

Our setup is set to "halt backup after remote server error" since akeeba backups are second level "discrete" backup (we have a Veam daily backup on the full VM hosting several sites) and because I don't want parts staying on our main server and consuming disk storage.

I have recently updated Akeeba Solo (probably on may the 13th according to some file timestamp). I had to tell the server to use PHP 8 (htaccess directive) instead of PHP 7 general setup. But it has taken several backup without problems meanwhile.

Do you need more info to help me on a diagnostic ?

Thanks.

Hello,

we made no changes on the engine, that part of code is pretty stable. If it ran fine and suddenly it stopped, I suspect the host changed something in their configuration. Can you please get in touch with them and ask to review their logs, if they see anything about creating the directory. Maybe you hit some kind of limit?

Hello,

As a follow-up, apparently it was due to the remote server. I did not change anything and since these last 2 days everything is back to normal.

However I didn't receive an explanation. OVH (remote server) says : "we do not change something neither logs say something went wrong"....

I close this one.

Thanks.

Laurent
