I use a lot Akeeba Solo and I have managed to create a good workflow that allows me, not only backing up my sites, but also restore them with Akeeba UNiTE for testing in my development server.

I usually store my backups in a S3 provider, so it is kind of easy to just fetch de file using the S3 downloader of UNiTE and let the process working unattended.

The only point which I find a bit cumbersome is writing the XML file for UNiTE, specially since I use a random keyword in the name of the files.

I think it will be great to have a button next to the "download" button or inside the info box, that allows you to download an XML file that you can feed directly in UNiTE with all required parameters (S3 keys, bucket, path, filename...)

thank you very much for your reply!! I have not played with Ansible yet, but I definitely will take a look at this and having the option of a JSON reply definitely makes things easier even for my own scripting.

I use s3cmd for a "remove remote old backups" system (for backups taken on 1st older than 6 months for instance) and I am not confortable with how to create my own scripts with it.

In any case I think I will take advantage of all the great remote tools you provide.

I'm starting to work on this, and the main idea is to set up some scripts that can get some PrestaShop to my development server. My architecture is as follows:

1. Dev server with Akeeba Remote installed

2. Several hosts configured in the .akeebaremote file

3. All PrestaShop with Akeeba Solo installed and with all the backups stored in Wasabi (S3 storage provider).

I have managed to connect Akeeba Remote with my Solos, and it works great!! I have even added the end point instead of the solo URL and it gets the backups, and it seems to work fine. Nevertheless, I have one issue. With Akeeba Remote I cannot get the name of the file to get from the Remote Storage (the What was it called? thing). So the only option to get the backup is to create a backup on the go.

Do you think it would be possible to add the filename of the backup to the backup info? I think I will be able to make my automatic restoration possible using this.

One little bug on the documentation: At the Options list the listbackups command parameter to limit the number of backups is limit not to.
