Hello, I installed SOLO BACKUP in a Prestashop web , and it runs prefectly, uploading to Dropbox....
I configured the mail, and the "test mail" is ok, and I receive this.

As you said in other ticket, I begin a backup, and after I navigate to other site, in order to have a "backup error", but I do not receive any mail, after 30 min.

What can be the problem ????
Also I ask you if is possible to receive the email result of the backup ALWAYS, not only on error.... is possible ???

Thanks
Carlos

Hello,

first of all, if you start a backup from your browser, you have to stay on the same page until the backup completes. This is required because it's your browser sending out requests, one after the other, to progress the backup until it completes.
If a failure happens, no email is sent, since you will see the result in the browser.

If you triggered the backup using an automatic way (CRON or Frontend backups), you have the option to always receive an email or only when the upload to a remote location fails (but it completed successfully).

If you always want to receive an email about failures, you have to setup a CRON job to check for failed backups. When a failed backup is found, an email will be sent.

I hope I have cleared your doubts.

About :

yes , I know, but I did this in order to have "error" and test if I receive some mail.

Then I understand that if the backup start in the browser, I will not receive any mail about the result , isn't it ???

It was very interesting for me, because some times I conect with my server from different computers with a remote acces, and then I "left" my server working in the backup and then I am not "looking" all the time the result on my server.

Thanks

Carlos

Yes, that's correct. If you start in the browser, you will never receive anything.

HOWEVER!

Reading about your use case, I think you could setup push notifications using PushBullet. In this way you should receive a notification on your smartphone when a backup completes.
