Ho scritto al supporto tecnico di Backblaze e mi confermano che il problema deriva da un'errata implementazione tecnica per la comunicazione con le API di BackBlaze, pertanto si, il problema è di Akeeba.
Attendo riscontro grazie, intanto eccovi la loro risposta:

Hello,
This error message indicates the server is no longer accepting new uploads. A new upload URL should be requested and that URL used for uploads going forward. For reference, this information can be found in the docs here: https://www.backblaze.com/b2/docs/b2_upload_file.html
