Hello, I have a problem to secure our online shop. We use the system oxide in the latest version.
If I secure this shop via SSH (zip -r archiv.zip source), I get an archive size of 300 MB.
If I secure the shop with Akeeba Solo, I get an archive size of 11 GB per backup !!
It does not matter if I set JAP or ZIP. The size remains.
If I want to unpack the archive to check why such a size is being generated, I only ever get an error when unpacking.

I secure many other projects with Akeeba Solo and with the plugin for Joomla. Everyone else is running clean. Only with Oxid, it seems to be really problems. What can this be?

Check for any symlinks inside your site's tree which point to a very big directory - or, worse, the server's root. TO quickly test if this theory is correct you can go to Akeeba Solo's configuration and find the Archiver Engine. Click on Configure next to it. Uncheck the "Dereference symlinks" options and take a new backup. This will store symlinks as symlinks instead of trying to follow them like they were real files / folders.
