Hello,

I'm using your Akeeba solution for at least the last 3 years, for Joomla websites, and it did work fine :)

I have a question before using your AKEEBA SOLO.

I have a website to save.
It's PHP and MySQL?
So I would like to make an entire backup, including both the files and the mysql database.

On your DOC, you write :

> The database configuration page
>
> The next step is to tell Akeeba Solo where to put its database data. You will have to enter the following data, most of which can be provided by your host.
> [Important] Important
> You must create a database BEFORE installing Akeeba Solo. The web installer is unable to create the database for you!

I don't get it completely.

Do you mean your akeeba solo need his very own database, different from the one existing for the website, or do you mean akeeba solo need the actual website database info to connect ?

Thanks

Have a great day :)

Hello,

it can work both ways: you can actually have a separate database just for Akeeba Solo or you can include its tables inside the current database.
If you choose the first option, please remember that you have to manually create it, since Akeeba Solo can not do that.

Hello Davide,
grazie mille :)

So if I choose the first option, can you confirm me that the current database's data will not be affected by solo or erased.
Sure ?
:)
Thanks

Yes.
And for your information Akeeba Solo will never ever touch your current data: we are simply reading them and writing in a backup file ;)
