Mandatory information about my setup:

Joomla! version: (1.7/latest)
PHP version: (5something)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (1and1.com)
Akeeba Backup version: (latest)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

If you take a look at my site: http://www.therollerskate.com/

You'll see this error:
"Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'LogException' in /homepages/13/d369589260/htdocs/website3/libraries/joomla/log/loggers/formattedtext.php:179 Stack trace: #0 /homepages/13/d369589260/htdocs/website3/libraries/joomla/log/log.php(367): JLoggerFormattedText->addEntry(Object(JLogEntry)) #1 /homepages/13/d369589260/htdocs/website3/libraries/joomla/log/log.php(172): JLog->addLogEntry(Object(JLogEntry)) #2 /homepages/13/d369589260/htdocs/website3/libraries/joomla/error/error.php(248): JLog::add('JError::raiseEr...', 16, 'deprecated') #3 /homepages/13/d369589260/htdocs/website3/includes/application.php(202): JError::raiseError(500, '') #4 /homepages/13/d369589260/htdocs/website3/index.php(43): JSite->dispatch() #5 {main} thrown in /homepages/13/d369589260/htdocs/website3/libraries/joomla/log/loggers/formattedtext.php on line 179"

I've never seen this before. I have an exact copy at backup.therollerskate.com, both were stable last week, now both get the same error.

I've attempted to restore earlier backup files from Akeeba, all get this same error.

Please help!

I can't share the link because it is too big, and my site is completely down.

This is kinda strange, but it actually means that the component you are loading on your front-page is throwing an uncaught exception. The only thing I can recommend is to remove all the files from your site and restore the last known good backup archive. Since this is not really related to Akeeba Backup I can't help you :(

I tried that with three different backups before this one, all of them worked before, as far as I know.

This sucks, commence frowny face :(

Yes, but have you actually tried removing all of your site's files before restoring a backup?

no....but I did try restoring from a completely different folder. But not all of them... Hm..., let me try an older one with a completely fresh and blank folder. Good idea...
