Mandatory information about my setup:

Joomla! version: 1.5.25
PHP version: 5.3.5
MySQL version: 5.1.52-cll (i think)
Host: Arvixe is where the site is hosted and MediaTemple is the remote location where I'm trying to FTP the file to
Akeeba Backup version: 3.3.11

Description of my issue:
A default backup using the wizard works fine, but I am getting the following error when trying to save the backup file to a remote ftp:

AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 504 (Gateway Time-out)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4
Raw server response:
Gateway Time-out

The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

You are using the "Upload to Remote FTP" data processing engine to upload your backup archive to a remote FTP server. This takes about 20 seconds and your server, ISP, or proxy server erroneously believe that the page timed out. You can try setting up a smaller "Part size for split archives", about the half of what you have right now, to work around this issue.

I tried reducing the Part size to half and then half again and am still getting the same Gateway Time-out and 404. Anything else I can try?

This time, the backup didn't complete because you ran out of available disk space. Please remove old backups, the contents of the tmp directory and retry backing up.
