Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the forum before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? No
Joomla! version: 1.5.25
PHP version: 5.2
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: 3.3.11 (previous installed version of core most likely 3.1.5)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

After I installed akeebabackup pro on one of my clients websites http://bit.ly/wBcjpE. I got a message that the new pro version was succesfully installed. When I navigated away from this part of the website I got an internal server error 500. Both frontend and backend are not reachable anymore. I can however ftp to my site (backups are available, but I would like to solve to problem).

If you had the (unsupported) lazy scheduling plugin installed, please rename plugins/system/aklazy.php to aklazy.php.bak.

If you had the System Restore Points plugin enabled, please rename plugins/system/srp.php to srp.php.bak.

If you had the Akeeba Backup Update Check plugin enabled, please rename plugins/system/akeebaupdatecheck.php to akeebaupdatecheck.php.bak.

The above instructions deactivate all of the plugins shipped with past and present versions of Akeeba Backup. After doing that, please go to plugins manager and disable the System - System Restore Points plugin. Then go to our Downloads page, download the 3.3.11 ZIP installation package and install it on your site, without removing the existing version. This will re-install all files of the new release and your site should be working normally.

Well i changed the files to .bak that seemed to work. I went in to the plugins and disabled the lazy plugin. The other two were disablede already.

I now see that you did not tell me to disable the lazy plugin. And by doing that I have my internal server error back. I feel pretty stupid now. Any suggestions?

Hmm I am back in to the administrator part. It seems that the backend was just very slow. I am now reinstalling 3.3.11 ...

Great everything looks ok now.
