Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (Past forum postings with Nicholas and related trouble shooting errors)? Yes
Have I searched the forum before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting? Yes
Joomla! version: (1.7.3)
PHP version: (5.2.17)
MySQL version: (5.0.9.1)
Host: (Strato-Hosting)
Akeeba Backup version: (3.3.11)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
The Akeeba Backup fails when it has completed approximately 71%.
I have:
Run configuration wizard and saved the configuration file
I have manually tried changing the Maximum Execution Time to 5
I have tried to exclude folders from the backup where the backup has failed
Tried changing to IFrame

My PHP Memory_limit is 128M

Log file attached.

Any help will be much appreciated.

First try these settings:
- Minimum execution time: 5 seconds
- Maximum execution time: 3 seconds (yes, max is LOWER than min, not a typo)
- Runtime bias: 50%

If this doesn't help, please check your free disk space. How much is it and how much is your total disk quota?

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I've tried your recommended settings without success, I'm afraid (new log attached).

I've also checked the available web site storage and out of a possible 5,000 MB, only 376 MB has been used.

This is failing at the same point, which makes me think that we have to change the part size for split archives. Please go to Configuration, click the "Configure..." button next to the Archive Engine. In the pane which opens below, please set the Part Size for Split Archives to 10Mb. If this doesn't work, also try 5Mb or even 2Mb. If this still doesn't help, you know the drill, ZIP and attach the new log file.

Thank you for your advice.
Setting the "Part Size for Split Archives" to 10Mb did the trick.
Brilliant programme and brilliant support.
Many thanks
