Most of above is not applicable to this. I had two sites, one on Godaddy, one on GreenGeeks. Godaddy site allowed a one-click login and backup from the email notification, whereas the GreenGeeks site did not.

I'm almost 100% certain this is due to GreenGeeks running "Mod Security" on all hosted domains (unless specifically asked not to). I've had problems with running CiviCRM (a very large Joomla component), and your one-click link appears very similar to ones that caused problems (i.e. triggered the mod security code).

So, this is just an informational posting, in case you're interested in seeing if you can change your link parameters to avoid getting blocked.

I'm not sure, but perhaps changing it so that the long parameter was enclosed in string markers, etc.

I'd be willing to work with you or introduce you to their support department , as a developer.

The one-time password passed in the URL consists of only alphanumeric characters. It should not be blocked by mod_security. The only restriction I can think of is a limit on the size of GET variables, but I consider that a long shot. Even if that was the case, I wouldn't shorten that parameter! If this parameter is short, it can be brute forced and that would pose a significant security threat to your site. As it is right now, brute-forcing it with today's technology would take more time than the age of the planet Earth, which is quite safe I guess ;)

What I think that's actually happening is that you have an administrator query string protection. Previous versions of the One Time Password plugin could not handle that and wouldn't work. This was addressed in the latest release.
