Do Akeeba Backup create htaccess/htpsswd automatically in the backup folder?

The algorithme use seem stronger or different that the one use in Admin tools to protect the administrator folder...

I’m right?

No, it only ships with a default .htaccess and web.config file in the default backup output directory. Please take a look at https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-documentation/securing-temp-output-directories.html

This is on a unix debian server.
I don’t have access behind the web folder that contain the joomla files. access but no right.

I create a folder at the root level (with the joomla files) to contain the backups and didn’t put any htaccess/pswd in there and I didn’t use the ispconfig control panel to securise that folder. Where they come from?

They are not from the server/isp config because I can duplicate or delete them — On that serve any htaccess/htpasswd create bt the system can be duplicate, open , copy...

I think it come from the Minimum access level in backup config parameters and use encryptrion

No, no and no. There is NO code in Akeeba Backup to do that. I seriously doubt that a computer decided to do something without being explicit instructions in a programme :) What you observe is the result of something you did to limit access to that directory.
