Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes ABI Restoration trouble shooting
Have I searched the forum before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: (1.5.25)
PHP version: (5.2.17)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (heart internet)
Akeeba Backup version: (3.3.6 pro)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue.

Description of my issue:

I am trying to restore a backup of a site to a spare domain I have for testing a few components.
But I keep getting red errors in the Directories > Items > Current settings - copied below.

Ive read through your help docs and the notes seem to point with a possible problem with joomla?

Your docs say that if the backup doesn't work then most likely a clean install of joomla wont work, I have completely erased the backup and installed a clean version of joomla, so know the host and domain are good, Also I host several joomla sites on the shared hosting without any problems, so I dont think it is a host / joomla incompatibility problem.

If I ignore these messages and carry on through the restoration process, all seems OK, but at the end the site doesn't work.

This isn't urgent as my live site is fine, just wanted to test out a few things on another live server.

Is there anything you can do to help further or point me in the right direction to solve this issue?

Tried to test on MAMP and get similar problems
Temporary Directory
/home/sites/limo-chat.co.uk/public_htmlDStmp No
Logs Directory
/home/sites/limo-chat.co.uk/public_htmlDSlogs No
Cache Directories
/home/sites/limo-chat.co.uk/public_htmlDScache No

This is a known issue which will be fixed in 3.3.7, scheduled for release this week (there's one pending bug report which needs fixing). Meanwhile, just proceed to the next step and in the "Server Setup" page check the "Use directories under the new site's root" checkbox.

It's a good idea to check that box, unless you have a very good reason, i.e. you specifically want to manually override the location of your tmp or logs directory.
