Description of my issue:

Hi Nikko!

I'm not sure what happened. I misconfigured sh404sef and then disabled it because my site was shut down.
Then I asked Rochen to do a restore because there is no access to the shared server I'm on to do my own restore.
After the restore, I attempted to upload updates. Akeeba then started a backup. At the end of the backup I got a white screen with the following message:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /administrator/index.php?option=com_akeeba&view=installer&task=realinstall on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

So I can't update anything until I solve the Akeeba problem and I don't know what to do, short of disabling Akeeba. : )

Any suggestions appreciated,

You can do something very simple. Just go to Extensions, Plugin Manager, find the "System - System Restore Points" plugin and disable it. And now you can update everything ;)

I guess my eye has traveled past that plugin a thousand times and I never noticed it until now.
