With all due respect, I beg to differ. Your problem is that you are using the wrong database name and user name. You are using cPanel. When your cPanel username is "foo" and the name of the database you create is "bar", the complete database name (that you have to use with Joomla!, Akeeba Backup, WordPress, Drupal or any other MySQL-powered script) is foo_bar (cPanel username, underscore, the database name you used).
Likewise, when you are creating a database user e.g. named "jazz", the real username created is foo_jazz (cPanel username, underscore, the username you used).
All of this information is clearly mentioned in our troubleshooting guide for your convenience. Please see https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/troubleshooter/abidatabase.html Access to this document is free of charge and does not require a subscription.
It's a good thing that you inadvertently gave me cPanel access instead of only FTP access that I had originally requested. If you hadn't we'd probably have a very serious misunderstanding going on here. Anyway, logging in to your cPanel I was able to see the database connection details and I am now sending you a PM with this information so that you can restore your site :)
