Description of my issue:
Using the automatic update feature to go from 3.3.2 to 3.3.3 errornotfindxlmsetupfile
This is the first time I have run the automatic update feature. It seems to link to the download server and it runs through the sequence of things it must do colouring in the progress bars. But the upgrade does not get applied in the end and there is the error noted above. Please see attached screen shot

Hi

I tried to get the log files as I can see these might be helpful.
There were two options: Backend and; Restore Points.

The Backend option just results in an error message - please see screen shot attached.

user43409
The Restore Point option has produced the log file attached.

Hi Michael,

I know that it sounds very obvious, but have you provided your Download ID in the Component Parameters before running the update? If you have, please check that it is correct by clicking the link titled My Subscriptions on this page, copying the Download ID appearing below the list of your subscriptions and pasting it to the Download ID parameter in the Component Parameters page of Akeeba Backup, then retry updating the component. Does that work now?

Hi Nicholas,

I had already done this, but I just did it again and ran the auto backup process... the same error occurred again. There is no point in my sending you a screen shot as it is identical to the one I have already sent you.

Michael

Hello Michael,

The Download ID I see in the URL on your screenshot is incorrect. I was unable to check that out previously, as I was on my iPad and couldn't download the image file properly. Download IDs look like 3858f62230ac3c915f300c664312c63f and not like 012345. So, after entering the correct Download ID (copied from this page) please do the following:
- Go to Akeeba Backup's Control Panel page
- Click on the UPDATE FOUND button
- Click the "Refresh update information" button
- You should now see that the last part of manual download URL is your Download ID. If not, repeat all the steps mentioned above
- Click on the Update button
The update should work now.

Hi Nicholas,

I will try this, but may I suggest you change your labelling of the field called ID on the following download page as per the attached screen shot... to avoid further confusion.

Michael

Hello Michael,

On that page, there is a module named Download ID, which reads exactly that:
This is the Download ID required for enabling the automatic updates of Akeeba Backup Professional 3.2.b1 or later.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Please copy this ID and paste it to your Component Parameters page, in the "Download ID" text box.

I honestly don't believe that it gets any more unambiguous than that :)

Its worked fine...

However, I think one field called "ID" in a table of fields on a page all about "downloads" and then much lower in another box "download ID" which I didn't even see first few times... to me this is confusing! At least suggest you renaim "ID" to be "User ID" or something like that.

Anyway thanks for your prompt help.

Thank you for your suggestions! That field is actually a "Subscription ID". I will see how I can fit that description in without breaking the layout.
