Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the forum before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? No
Joomla! version: 1.5.23
PHP version: PHP 5.2.17
MySQL version: MySQL 5.0.92
Host: Rochen
Akeeba Backup version: 3.2.7

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue.

Description of my issue:
The last couple of times I have tried to restore a backup, kickstart stops just after I start extracting files, and it doesn't extract anything. Files and folders have the correct permissions.

I just checked with the server host, and they replied that there are no loads, and everything is running normally.

Any idea what is going wrong?

Hmm, the log file wouldn't attach.

Hm... The log shows that the backup has completed without any issues, as far as I can see. Please try extracting the archive using Akeeba eXtract Wizard on your local PC. If this doesn't work, please try downloading the backup archive using FTP in binary transfer mode, as shown in our third video tutorial. This is the most likely source of issues extracting backup archives.

If this doesn't help, maybe these troubleshooting instructions can help.

If all else fails and Kickstart won't work, you can always extract the archive locally using Akeeba eXtract Wizard, upload the files using FTP and access the installation script as http://www.example.com/installation/index.php, where www.example.com is the domain name of your site.

I checked a third option, with our security application, and it turned out that they had some troubles with their server, and that this might have caused it. They temporarily switched it off, and then I could restore the backup.

Thanks for looking though.
